PAC Mate uses removable 20 or 40-cell braille display modules - hence the bulkiness of their size.
  6. USB ports: BrailleNote PK and PAC Mate has one USB port - PK is client only and PAC Mate's port can serve either as host or client (USB OTG). BrailleNote mPower has two hosts and one client, Braille Sense family (except U2) has 1 host and 1 client (except OnHand which has one OTG port) and BrailleNote Apex and Braille Sense U2 has 3 hosts and 1 client. BrailleNote allows users to listen to media files and browse the web in addition to working on their current task.
  12. BrailleNote models other than Apex can utilize serial, infrared or Bluetooth connection for visual display output. Some BrailleNote models support CompactFlash VGA adapter. PAC Mate can utilize CF card or an external program for visual output. Braille Sense units with QWERTY keyboard does not have built-in monitors.
